MILK!

yuno, there's something nostalgic about buying milk in cartons- not gallons. i think it actually makes the milk taste better when it's from the carton. it's even better when you drink straight from the carton. and i know a lot of people think it's gross and rude to drink straight from the carton, but who gives a crap if you're the only one that drinks it? yeah, i think i've become a straight-from-carton milk drinker...but only if nobody else is going to drink milk. i used to buy milk in gallons, but since my sister moved out, i buy it in smaller portions now so that it doesn't go bad and i must say, i enjoy carton milk very much.

by the way, i think Kings of Leon are my new favorite band and i think bar 330 makes the best cosmopolitans.

hi. so i lost my phone last week and i got a replacement. i like my replacement. it's got a lot less unnecessary crap i don't need like an mp3 player and stuff...the thing that sucks about getting a new phone is that you have to replace all your numbers. and with my phone, went my phone numbers.

so if you think i need to have you on my phone, please call me and tell me who you are. my phone number is the same...if you don't know it, then you shouldn't be on my contacts list...that is, unless you're shia lebeouf.

Reign Over Me

watch 'reign over me'. i think it's the best 9-11 movie cuz it's not entirely about 9-11. it's a really good movie, i liked it a lot.

hey you know what's awesome about chatting online?

you're allowed long awkward pauses. well, they're not awkward, but if i was talking on the phone and there came a pause where i just ran out of things to say, it would be awkward. i have awkward phone moments with everybody- including my mom. the only time i sound normal on the phone is when i need something. but other than that, i sound like an idiot on the phone. there's a lot of elongated "yeeeaaahhh"s and "oookaaay"s.

when you're online and there's a long pause, it's not really awkward cuz you can just pretend like you walked away from your computer...the other person will never know. but on the phone, i kind of feel pauses waste money cuz of the cell phone minutes, peak hours, and all that. it's like being dropped off at your apartment in a cab and just sitting there for an extra 2 minutes while the meter is running.

"are all these improvements in communication really helping us communicate?"

on a largely unrelated note, they tore down the kelly's coffee by my work. i kind of feel bad, cuz i used to go there all the time. so much that i knew the people that worked there. there was this really cool asian guy that would play depeche mode and new order on weekend nights, and it was a cool place to hang out cuz the couches there were so comfy. but then i started going to starbucks- which is across the street from kelly's and the workers there started giving me free drinks. i believe had i not been bribed by starbucks to come on their side, kelly's would have been able to pay their rent with the $4 i would have spent on an iced mocha everyday- they were freaking good. it's being replaced by some french crepe making place- which i'm totally stoked about, but then it's gonna be like eating crepes filled with a warm gooey guilt center...at least they'll be delicious. crepes and free coffee from starby's...
